Carol Barnett

Watercolor, Acrylics and Collage Paintings

My work will always be inspired by the rocky Oregon coast and the beauty of Oregon landscapes. My medium is watercolor, sometimes adding layers of acrylic, watercolor crayon, stamping or collage. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my work with others. I have studied with some of the finest artists, Michael Schlicting, Judy Morris, John Salminen among others. Also I have taken painting and drawing at Oregon College of Arts and Craft, Pacific Northwest College of Art, and PCC. Since retiring in 1997 from a career in management and information systems at Oregon Health Sciences University, I have pursued a career as a visual artist, thus fulfilling a lifelong goal. I now teach painting, have my work in private and public collections and have received awards for my work. I am a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, Northwest Watercolor Society and the Beaverton Arts Commission.
