250625 - Students will learn a few simple stitches (stab/straight, running, chain, lazy daisy, split, outline and fern) that lend themselves to many variations. After practicing they will create felt bookmarks. Students will learn how to use tissue paper as a pattern guide and explore basic composition and color theory.

250628 -  Beginners and Intermediate students welcome. Create a unique and whimsical floral or other simple design using acrylic and collage. Learn about textural and negative painting techniques, color, composition and values.

250719 -  Learn about color mixing and watercolor techniques such as wet into wet and creating depth in your painting. Supply list on registration or use instructor's supplies for a $10 materials fee. 

250722 - A watercolor class focusing on color theory through painting flowers in watercolors. It is a perfect time of the year to paint our fresh cut flowers! This class is great for first time and intermediate painters. Each student is welcome to bring their own flowers to work on in class - there will also be flowers provided for inspiration.

 250723 - $50 - Students will build on stitches already learned and add: buttonhole, French and Colonial knots, appliqué and reverse appliqué. Again, using felt, students will create a small pouch.

250726 - Come and create your own collaged summer bouquet out of a variety of colored recycled paper.  Materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own paper if you have some collected for art projects.  No experience needed.

250730 - Learn a brief history of encaustic painting using heated, pigmented beeswax. A step-be-step tutorial and demonstration will cover everything you need to know to create your own 8x8 complex, unique, and exciting masterpiece.

250806 - Gather driftwood, twigs, paper, fiber and found objects to blend into a meaningful, hand-crafted wall hanging.  Bring your own interesting items to include.

250819 - A watercolor class focusing on trees. It is a perfect time of the year to paint the trees in our Oregon landscape. This class will be great for first time painters as well as intermediate
painters.

 250827 - Students will have option to create a pendant or mini-wall-hanging. Building on previously learned stitches, we will learn several textural stitches (bouillon, drizzle, wrapped and needle weaving) and combination stitches. After practicing, students will explore “doodling” stitchery, creating without a design in mind.

250912 - Originally from India, Suchitra is a Certified Zentangle teacher who now lives in Oregon. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn art form. In this class, we will go through the basics of Zentangle and learn the methodology used to create beautiful art by the repetition of simple patterns. Everything you need for the class is in the $5 supply kit.
