I took my first ceramics class at a community college in 1985 and was immediately hooked. When I’m hiking or gardening, anytime I’m immersed in nature, the world feels right to me. And when I enter my studio and smell the earthy scent of clay I am truly at home.
I was born in Siskiyou County, California, at the base of Mt Shasta which will always be my first home. In 2022 my husband and I moved to McMinnville to be closer to our daughter and her family and we are quickly, and happily, sending our roots down here, our “second” home.
My love of ceramics began while living in Mt Shasta. For many years I was part of a vibrant multi-media art studio and sold my pieces at two galleries there. I continue to sell my work at Siskiyou Arts Museum in Dunsmuir, California.
