Pastels
Sketching and painting nature, whether in the studio or on location, takes me to a place of wonder and enlightenment. Working with soft pastels gives me the ability to work directly and spontaneously. I find the results can be magical as I explore the possibilities. I am honored to be able to share my journey of discovery as I continue to explore new places and new techniques. I am a Salem, Oregon artist who grew up in the Willamette Valley. Always feeling drawn to creative activities, I have explored fiber arts through working with fabrics, quilting, and vintage textiles. Creative display work has been a fulfilling part of my 45 years of retail experience. Seeking out art education has been a priority in my journey. I have studied with several professional pastel artists that I have admired. I am a member of Pastel Artists of Oregon and Northwest Pastel Society. I have participated and won awards in numerous exhibits and have many paintings in private collections. I am always searching for inspiration to enhance my artistic voice.
