Pottery
My work has clear elements of Japanese design and style, as I spent several years living there. I pursue unusual and interesting new aspects to pottery by altering a thrown form with a hand-built form.
I have a degree in Ceramics from Portland State University. I work primarily in porcelain both in my studio, as well as teaching ceramics courses at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, Oregon. I have taught ceramic glazing and advanced throwing techniques. I also provide private classes in throwing and glazing techniques in my studio.
