Woodwork

I am a woodworker and artist, originally from Portland, OR. I currently live and create in Carlton, OR.

My work begins at the lathe, where organic material is shaped through a balance of intention and response. Each piece starts with a planned form, but the natural grain guides the process, allowing non-symmetrical patterns to emerge.

Planned but not controlled, the process leaves space for the wood to decide the rest. The result is pieces that are both eye-catching and utilitarian, where form and function exist together.
