261227 -  Day 1:  $120  Discover the wonderful luminous, unpredictable world of encaustic painting. Working with heated, pigmented beeswax, you’ll learn the fundamentals through demonstration and hands-on experimentation. Explore layering, fusing, texture, transparency, mark-making, and surface effects while discovering how the wax can be manipulated in surprising ways to create depth and dimension. 

Day 2: Take your encaustic practice beyond the basics and explore  pigmented beeswax. Develop & refine your use of tools and techniques, then experiment with multi-layered translucency, and texture, incorporating other mediums such as photography, India ink & collage,  Slow down, experiment, push the medium further, and discover what happens when wax, pigment, heat, and intention come together.
