261127 - Day 1:  Discover the luminous, unpredictable world of encaustic painting. Working with heated, pigmented beeswax, you’ll learn the fundamentals through demos and hands-on play. Explore layering, fusing, texture, transparency, and mark-making while discovering the surprising ways wax can be manipulated to create depth, dimension, and visual interest.

Day 2: Go beyond the basics - refine your skills with tools and techniques while exploring translucent layers, surface texture, and mixed-media possibilities. Incorporate photography, India ink, collage, and other materials as you build more complex surfaces. Slow down, experiment, take creative risks, and see what emerges when wax, pigment, heat, and intention come together.
