261104 - Crazy Quilting always involves asymmetrical piecing of fabric with embroidery embellishment. It is known for the use of opulent fabrics (silks and velvets), but less expensive modern materials like polyesters, and thrift store finds can also be used. Bring your UFO (unfinished object/project) or start a new quilt patch and explore this delightful Victorian art form!  Beginning students will learn how to piece a quilt patch by hand and learn embroidery stitches to cover the seams. More advanced students can explore elaborate combination stitches and traditional motifs for patch centers.
